Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan Forge Stronger Trade, Economic Ties
The pact was finalized during discussions between Kyrgyz Economy and Commerce Minister Bakyt Sydykov and Afghanistan’s acting Commerce and Industry Minister Nooruddin Azizi, who is currently visiting Bishkek.
According to the ministry’s statement, Sydykov emphasized that the Afghan delegation’s visit marks a significant move toward strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The Kyrgyz side expressed a keen interest in exploring new mutually beneficial opportunities within promising economic sectors and briefed Afghan officials on ongoing reforms and the considerable potential to increase trade volumes.
Azizi, meanwhile, highlighted the potential for broadening bilateral cooperation, especially in the areas of trade, economic development, and investment.
